“I’ve had a really good year and I think it’s got a lot to do with my new website. I’m going to the States in February to lecture US speechwriters on humorous speechwriting, and that came through my website. I’ve been profiled in the Times, I’ve been on the Six O’Clock news, I’ve also been interviewed by the Evening Standard as an expert.”

Website optimisation
Helping organisations to get the most from their websites
Many websites underperform or fail to deliver anything like the expected benefits. While this can be frustrating and often mystifying, it’s usually not difficult to locate and resolve the underlying problems, which include:
- low search engine page results or little traffic via search engines.
- not meeting accessibility legislation.
- visitors not being able to find what they are looking for.
- visitors not understanding a company’s products or services.
- not enough visitors becoming customers.
Independent website testing – with a written report to enable structured resolutions to issues
Labrow Marketing can independently test and audit websites for a range of issues – and provide a detailed written plan to enable the site to be put back on track. The written plan can be used by the Web development team to address problems with the site. In cases where there is insufficient confidence in the original Web developers, the report can be given to a new team as a thorough briefing document – enabling remedial work to be undertaken faster than would otherwise be possible.
Sometimes, the team responsible for the site may be unfamiliar with the concepts that are holding the site back – and something more than a written report may be required. In such cases, we can also provide expert coaching to the team – giving them the skills and knowledge to resolve the issues.
Of course, as a Web development company, we can directly help organisations to resolve website performance issues – but we only do so on request, maintaining our impartiality (the core reason for providing a detailed resolution document is so that organisations can take the advice to the Web developer of their choice and not be bound to using us).
