Helping an independent performer to promote her music and CDs
The Web is a great place for less well-known performers and bands to promote their music – you don’t need to be signed to a major record label to have a presence on the Internet, sell music on iTunes or cut your own CDs.
Such is the case with Manchester-based singer/songwriter Becky Higg, who currently has three CDs under her belt and a strong following, both locally and nationally.
Labrow Marketing developed Becky’s website to enable her to promote her CDs and music, but also make available additional items such as lyrics and photographs.
Becky’s brief was “I think the whole nature of my songs and what I do is quite gentle and unassuming, so I’d love the website to be like that – really just a place for people to go and find my music and maybe see a few pictures. Words that come to mind are: simple, sweet, homely and earthy.”
The website is a small, static HTML site that’s designed to seem friendly and personal.
