Helping Blue Eskimo to become the UK’s number one training recruitment company
Labrow Marketing has worked with Blue Eskimo for over half a decade and the latest version of the company’s website is designed to consolidate Blue Eskimo’s leadership position as recruitment provider to the learning industry.
The company’s previous website – also designed by Labrow Marketing – had been very successful, both in terms of positioning the company’s services and in generating a significant amount of enquiries, whether from potential clients or those looking for a job.
When developing the new version of the website, Blue Eskimo was keen to keep all the parts of the website which worked well – including how people searched for and found jobs and how they signed up to e-mail alerts for jobs. In addition, the website now sends job alerts automatically out to the company’s Twitter feed – and links to other social networking websites such as LinkedIn.
So, the current features were built on and improved – for example, visitors can now add jobs to a shortlist (the jobs equivalent of a shopping cart) and enquire about more than one job at once. Visitors can also quickly find those jobs which are closest to where they live, by simply typing in their postcode.
Visitors to the site can find jobs quickly by browsing by job role and location, or use the fast and accurate website search. The jobs themselves are the heart of the site, and Blue Eskimo is able to give jobs greater visual impact by choosing images and headings from a gallery of professionally created ‘themes’.
The website also positions the company’s Training and E-learning Salary and Work Survey, which is now the industry’s annual benchmark for assessing salaries, benefits and attitudes to work.
To help with search engine performance and to provide content that encourages visitors to return again and again, the site features an online magazine with original articles – written by Labrow Marketing – on topics which are of interest to the target audience.
The site has transformed Blue Eskimo’s activities online. It has a strong level of regular traffic – a mixture of new and returning visitors. It performs very well within leading search engines – especially the all-important jobs pages. Automatic updates of new jobs are now sent to thousands of subscribers.
Blue Eskimo’s site performs the role it should – being a key part of how the company works with its customers and candidates, without being a massive drain on time and resources.
