Helping a leading illustrator to promote his work

The Internet provides a great way for freelance designers to display their work to potential clients. An on-line portfolio can enable anyone from around the world to view someone’s work and then get in touch quickly.

Illustrator Daryl Joyce’s portfolio is more extensive than most – featuring literally hundreds of illustrations from a wide range of genres. Daryl is best known for his Doctor Who illustrations – which have been used in books, magazines and on the BBC’s official Doctor Who website. Daryl also specialises in science fiction and horror illustration and aviation illustration. He also undertakes a wide range of portraits and commissions.

The website is fully content managed, using the Umbraco content management system. This allows Daryl to keep his on-line portfolio up-to-date, without having to learn how to code HTML Web pages. This is essential – not only to enable him to build up his portfolio, but also to add in new and interesting work immediately that it’s finished.
